WILSON, A.B. - Word was received here at an early hour Tuesday morning of the death of A.B. Wilson of Garfield and while of course it was not a surprise as his recovery was hardly to be expected, it was a great sorrow to the many friends who had steadily hoped that his life might be spared. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon and several Rogers citizens were present. Rev. U.S. Thomas of this city conducted the services. Mr. Wilson's death was the result of an attempt to commit suicide the morning of April 25th at his home near Garfield during a sudden attack of mental derangement. There was not the slightest known cause for such an act and during the past ten days he expressed a constant desire to recover, saying that he remembered nothing about cutting his throat. Mr. Wilson was 44 years old and leaves a wife and six children, three married and three at home. The married ones are James Wilson, Mrs. Cora Stoops and Mrs. Ollie Skelton, all of whom live near Garfield. Mrs. Wilson, whose maiden name was Miss Cynthia Campbell, is a daughter of Mrs. M.C. Rees, who lives on North Fifth street in Rogers. Mr. Wilson was born and raised not far from Garfield and was as well and favorably known as any man in the community. As a school teacher, as a rural mail carrier, as manager of the fruit growers union, he was capable and honest and his friends were united in wishing him success as cashier of the new Bank of Garfield, which had been open just a week at the time of his attempt on his life. The Democrat editors held Mr. Wilson as one of their very strongest personal friends in the county and his sad and untimely end has been a great sorrow to them. They join with the many friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved family who has been overwhelmed with so great a calamity.

WILSON, Mrs. A.B. - {from Garfield} Mrs. A.B. Wilson died early Sunday morning after a long illness of tuberculosis. She leaves four children to mourn her loss. One daughter, Mrs. Mollie Skelton, is in Colorado and is afflicted with tuberculosis and was unable to come home. The second son, John, is also afflicted with the same disease. Little Ruth will stay at the home of her brother, Jim Wilson, and John will stay with his uncle, George Cline. This is the third death in the family within the last two years. Mr. Wilson died two years ago and Dora, the oldest daughter, died a few months ago. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved family.
