SULPHUR SPRINGS — James Sherman Buckley, 84, of Sulphur Springs passed away April 17, 2014, at his home. He was born May 25, 1929, in Sulphur Springs to Elmer and Nellie (Llewyeln) Buckley.

He was the loving husband of Lily Mae (Duffield) Buckley for 64 years.

James sold feed to local farmers, for Purina Feed, most of his life. Then he was the water superintendent for the city of Sulphur Springs. After retiring, he enjoyed farming on the homestead, raising cattle and horses.

James is survived by his wife of Sulphur Springs; son, Sherman Ray Buckley of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Deborah Behan and husband, Joseph, of Justin, Texas; sister, Loretta Faye Latty of Ogelsby, Ill.; three grandsons, Daniel James Vail, Nathan James Vail and Shane Buckley.

James is preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, David and Larry Buckley, and Dorothy Herzel.

A visitation will be on Sunday, April 20, 2014, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.

Preceding the funeral on Monday, April 21, there will be another visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Pentecostals of Northwest Arkansas Church in Rogers.

SULPHUR SPRINGS - Lily Mae Buckley, age 86, passed away at her home in Sulphur Springs on Dec. 9, 2016. She was born in Depue, Ill., on March 3,1930, to Oscar and Viola (Moore) Buckley.

She was the wife of the late James S. Buckley.

She was a longtime member of the Pentecostal Church and prided herself on her knowledge of Bible quiz trivia as a Bible quiz instructor.

She is survived by her son; Sherman Buckley of Sulphur Springs; daughters, Deborah Behan of Dallas, Texas; brother, Oscar and Joan Duffield of Princeton, Ill.; two sisters, Cheryl Owens of Princeton, Ill., Jeanne and Jim Saal of Tennessee; three grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband; three brothers; Larry, Glen and George Duffield; and a sister, Violet Pratt.

Visitation will be held at Callison-Lough Funeral Home on Friday, Dec, 16, 2016, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Services will be at The Pentecostals of NWA Church in Rogers on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at GAR Cemetery in Sulphur Springs.
