Eugene W Evans was born June 2, 1930 and passed away May 20, 2014. "Gene" was a veteran of the Korean War, a Sergeant, and received Army OCCP. Medal in Japan, a National Defense Service Medal, a United National Service Medal , a Defense Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars and he was a 32 Degree Mason in the Scottish Rites as well as a member of the American Legion Post 71 in Cabot, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife Rosalie; children Ernie of Washington State, Connie Clay of North Little Rock, Cindy Smith of North Little Rock, Danny Evans (Tina ) of Lonoke, Dan Edward Barnhart(Loretta) of Austin, Arkansas and a son –in-law Rick Linker.
He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Barnhart and a daughter Theresa Linker. Other Survivors include two sisters Ruth Burgess of League City, Texas and Margaret Denton of Cleveland, Texas, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 step-children Jerry Berry, Larry Berry, Annette Compton and Rosetta Watson.
