*Arthur served in the US Army in World War II.
He was with the first American troops to enter and
help liberate the Mauthausen Concentration Camp just
outside the city of Linz in Austria.
He received the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantry Medal, Marksmanship Medal, 3 Bronze Service Stars,
the World War II Victory Medal, Army Occupation Medal and numerous other medals.
