Clara Lee DeLisle, who resided in Paris, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Mercy Hospital, Fort Smith. She was born October 13, 1934, in Booneville, Arkansas to Thomas V and Hildred Smith Nixon. She was 84 years old. She was also preceded in death by her late husbands, Leonard Edward Varnell and William "Bill" DeLisle; daughter, Lorna Post; brothers, Volney and M C Nixon;sister, Margie Robertson. She is survived by daughters, Marquetta Walker, Linda Stinnett , Beverly Fox and husband Jack, and Tara Vaughn; son, Eddie Varnell and wife Kim; sisters, Twila Varnell and Joy Rogers; son-in-law, William Post; step-children, Suzanne Moore and husband Jerry, Tara DeLisle, Therisa Hilkert and husband Tom, Paul DeLisle and wife Kathy, Bill Root and wife Barbara, and Jimmy Root; 54 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Clara worked at the pants factory in Paris for many years and retired from Cloyes Gear Company in Paris. She was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church in Paris.
