Mrs. Martha Jane Boyd, 79, of Walnut Ridge, died Wednesday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was a registered nurse at Lawrence Memorial where she had served as director of nursing. She was a graduate of the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis and was a member of the Walnut Ridge Garden Club, the Jonesboro Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Walnut Ridge.

Survivors include one son, Thomas Russell Boyd of Walnut Ridge; one daughter, Virginia Angelico of Metairie, La.; one sister, Rachel Rainey of Walnut Ridge; two grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Thomas Boyd, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 2 at the First Baptist Church of Walnut Ridge, with Dr. Samuel Roberts officiating and Dr. Chip R. Bell and Mrs. Earl Humble assisting. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.

Visitation will be this evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

Thomas Russell Boyd, 71 of Walnut Ridge passed away March 31, 2019 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born January 14, 1948 in Jonesboro; son of the late, Harold Thomas and Martha Jane Rainey Boyd. He was a Public-School Teacher and taught Music for over 25 years in the DeSoto High School in Missouri. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

Survivors include his sister, Virginia Boyd Angelico and her husband Mike Angelico of Metairie, LA. Three nieces, Robyn Lockhart (JT) of Prattville, AL, Erin Hall (Mitchell) of Metairie, LA, Julie Clement (Casey) of Norco, LA, and one nephew Jeff Angelico (Heather) of Mandeville, LA. Six great nieces and nephews Olivia and Zane Viscome, Cody and Luke Clement, Penelope Hall and Jason Angelico. One Aunt, Thelma Boyd, Hodgenville, KY and several cousins, Nancy Rainey Bell (Chip), Gilbert Rainey (Jan), Marynell Bryant (Harold) and Rachel Ann Underwood, David Boyd, Darrel Boyd and Linda Boyd Cecil; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside Memorial Service for his family and friends will be held Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. in the Lawrence Memorial Park with Bro. Jake Guenrich officiating.

No Visitation.

Family request Memorials to be made to the Charity of your choice in Memory of Thomas.
