Zena Bowman, 65 of Midway, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at her home after a fifteen year battle with breast cancer.
She was born August 18, 1950, in Paris, Arkansas to Earl J and Sallie Vaughn Nast. Zena was a homemaker and a retired chicken and cattle farmer of over 30 years. She was active in the Mercy Paris Auxillary, Community Outreach Services, and Town and Country Garden Club. She loved nothing more than spending time with her sons and cherished grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl J and Sallie Vaughn Nast; her husband of 20 years, Jerry L Bowman; and brother, Steven Nast.She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind, including long-time companion, Sam DeLisle; her sons, Michael Bowman and wife Joyce Newman of Midway, Roger Bowman and wife Crystal Morris of Munford, Tennessee, and Ronny Bowman and wife Ramona Sharum of Misawa Air Base, Japan; and grandchildren, Ryan, Sidney, Alex, Grant, Emma, Cecilia, Mattie, Joshua, and Keaton. She is survived as well by sisters, Ruth Ann Sims and husband Morris, Linda Sue Hamilton, and Diane Needham, all of Paris; and brothers, Earl J Nast, Jr and wife Nancy of Pleasantville, Florida and John Nast and wife Jeannie of Greenwood.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
