Charles Edward Poore, 79, of DeWitt died December 31, 2018. He was born September 15, 1939 in DeWitt to William Henry and Mary Ida Brockman Poore.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley Poore, brother Claude Poore, and sister Cheryl Terrel.
He is survived by his children Angie Brickey (Kevin) of Lexington,OK, Mark Poore (Nicole) of DeWitt, William Poore of DeWitt, and James Poore (Edda) of Purcell, OK, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren with one on the way, sister Ruby Jackson of DeWitt, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. January 4 at Essex Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. January 5 at Rising Sun Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Forks LaGrue Cemetery.
