BALDWIN, Jessie May BLAINE Phillips - Mrs. Jessie Baldwin died Monday night at her home on North C street after an illness of several weeks, but owing to word received from a relative who lives in Washington, the funeral will not be held until about Sunday. The deceased is a sister of Mrs. L.B. Lutz of this city.

(from New Hope) Mrs. Jessie Baldwin, a sister of Mrs. Quincey Chastain of Bellview, died in Rogers Monday night and will be buried some time this week. She was well known by the older residents of this neighborhood and had many friends who will be sorry to hear of her death. She will be best remembered by the name of Jessie Phillips.

Died at her home, 221 North C St., Monday night, March 3rd at 8:30, Mrs. Jessie M. Baldwin, after an illness of several weeks of complications resulting from influenza. Mrs. Baldwin was a loving daughter and sister, a true wife, a devoted mother, an obliging neighbor and had many friends wherever she lived who will learn of her death with sorrow. Jessie May Blaine was born May 23, 1873 near Greenview, Mineral Co. Ill., being 45 years, 9 months and 8 days old at the time of her death. She was married to Andy Phillips July 1, 1891 and was the mother of seven children, all of whom survive her. Mr. Phillips died at Aberdeen, Wash. Oct. 21, 1915 after which Mrs. Phillips returned to Rogers to live with her mother. The children are: Virgie, now Mrs. E.B. Benoit of Webb City, Mo.; Lillian, now Mrs. Will Hoback, and Miss Ella Phillips of Aberdeen, Wash.; Miss Beulah Phillips of Picher, Okla.; William 14, Ray 12, and Paul, 8 years of age, who lived here with their mother. She is also survived by her aged mother, Mrs. H.C. Blaine, four sisters, Mrs. J.P. McClain of Garfield, Ark.; Mrs. L.B. Lutz of this city; Mrs. A.F. McCormack, Springtown and Mrs. J.Q. Chastain of this vicinity, and two brothers: Jay E. Blaine of Douthat, Okla. and Ben B. Blaine of Rogers, all of whom attended the funeral Sunday afternoon March 9th at 1:30, conducted by Rev. G.G. Yeoman of the First M.E. church after which she was laid to rest in the city cemetery. She was married to Alfred Baldwin Dec. 19, 1917, who survives.
