John Thomas Knight, well known farmer of Gould, died suddenly at 11 a. m. yesterday apparently after suffering a heart attack. He had left his home to visit with a neighbor and he died while talking to his host.

He was born in Alabama, Oct. 11, 1873, and had lived in the Gould vicinity for the last 18 years. He came to Gould from Union, Miss.

He was a member of Varner Baptist Church and of the Masonic lodge.

Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Johnnie C. Knight; five sons, J. O., V. H. and Wesley Knight of Gould; Clarence and Coleman Knight, of Onward, Miss; six daughters, Mrs. Mattie Pohnson, Mrs. Ona Mae Wilkins and Mrs. Hazel Spires of Gould; Mrs. Rachel Wilson of Grady, Mrs. Ollie Myrtle Roebuck of Altheimer and Miss Annie Belle Knight of Gould; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Ann Davidson and Mrs. Elizabeth Jones of Mississippi, and Mrs. Lora Jones of Pine Bluff; a number of grandchildren and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. today at Dark Corner Church, conducted by the Rev. Conrad Glover of Sheridan. Burial will be in Dark Corner Cemetery with funeral arrangements in charge of Holderness-South Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be: Active, P. C. McCLendon, H. D. Phillips, H. Holland, B. E. Webb, T. J. Stovall and M. Price, honorary, H. Phillips, Max Cook, J. E. Short, Fred Holthoff, J. N. Paschall, W. C. Shepherd, Eddie Walters, Lee Broen, H. L. Pertius, Frank Freeman, T. H. Legg, G. H. Bibb and R. M. Wallace.
