Shelby Wayne Gasaway 81, of Dumas, AR passed away December 15, 2017 in Pine Bluff, AR. He was born July 15, 1936 in Dumas to the late Ray and Helen Hoyt Gasaway. Shelby was a member of First Baptist Church in Gould, former member of Gould City Council, retired farmer and served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brenda Gasaway, three sons, David Gasaway of Dumas, AR, Byron (Debbie) Gasaway of Monticello, AR and Brannon (JoLynne) Gasaway of Conway, AR, one daughter: Cilia (Gary) Odaware of Gillett, AR, three brothers: Clint Gasaway of Gould, AR, Herman Gasaway of Star City, AR and Benny Gasaway of Redfield, AR, three sisters: Nancy Vines of Little Rock, AR, Brenda Crain of Little Rock, AR and Rayetta LaVitte of Dumas, AR, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, December 18, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at First Baptist Church in Gould. Service, Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 2:00pm also First Baptist Church in Gould with burial Dark Corner Cemetery, Rev. Dubs Byers and Rev. Tom Bowlby officiating.
