When Jimmie Lea Craig was born on April 3, 1902, in Tennessee, his father, James, was 43 and his mother, Eula, was 29. He married Leora Granger on June 20, 1930, in Lincoln, Arkansas. They had four children during their marriage. He died on July 28, 1980, in Gould, Arkansas, at the age of 78.
