Louise Hedge Eifling Chaney, 91, died peacefully Sunday night, August 5, 2018.

She was born in Desha County, November 15, 1926, to Sam and Hassie Holland Hedge.

Reared and educated in Desha County near Rohwer, she was a life long United Methodist who loved her church and was a devoted student of the Bible.

She delighted in sharing love and gratitude through delicious meals and homemade treats, especially chocolate chip cookies, peanut brittle, divinity and fudge.

Louise always had an eye for fashion and as a young woman made many of her own clothes.

A few of her other passions included roses, birds and Razorback football. Those she loved were near and dear to her heart

Mrs. Chaney is survived by a son, Donny Eifling and wife Martha Jo of Grady; one granddaughter, Lynne Franks and husband Hayden of Little Rock; one grandson, Clay Eifling and wife Samantha of Dumas; and four precious great-grandchildren, Emily and Harrison Franks of Little Rock and Kaylee and Chance Eifling of Dumas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louis “Frank” Chaney, and her brother, Thomas Hedge.

A memorial service will be held on at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Dark Corner Cemetery near Gould, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Arkansas Food Bank, 4301 W 65th Street, Little Rock, AR 72209.
