December 24, 1888 - September 2, 1974
Mrs. Mae V. Caviness, 85, of 231 West Johnson died Monday morning. A wake will be held at Andrews Funeral Home on Friday night from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. Mrs. Caviness was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Freddie Caviness of Saginaw, Mich., the Rev. Claudie D. Caviness of Muskegon, Mich., and Randolph Caviness of Camden; two daughters, Mrs. Ophelia Cooper of Twin Lake, Mich. and Minnie C. Johnson of the home; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. (Cmden News - October 12, 1974)
