Mrs. Pearl Clawson, 78, of Calion, died in a local nursing home Monday at 8:45 a.m. A Primitive Baptist, she was born in Calion Dec. 23, 1886, the daughter of Charlie and Sarah Cossett Leopard. Survivors include a son, Charlie Clawson of El Dorado; two daughters, Mrs. A. G. Crain of El Dorado and Mrs. Rowland Hearnsberger of Pasadena, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Daisy McGowan of El Dorado; five grandchildren and a great grandchild. Funeral services have been announced for Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Pratt Funeral Home, with Elder R. W. Rhodes officiating. (The El Dorado Times - December 28, 1964)
