Mr. Otis Winfield "O.W." Wilson of DeWitt, Arkansas, died April 2, 2010. He was 85 years old. Mr. Wilson was the son of Arthur and Sylvia Wilson. After his father's death, his mother married Will Clabourn, and together they raised him and his siblings.
He was a lifelong resident of DeWitt, a farmer, a past member of the American Legion, and a member of the First Christian Church. Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II on the U.S.S. Lexington.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife: Nadine Fisher Wilson; his parents; a brother: Alvin Wilson; and a sister: Edith Kennedy.
He is survived by two sons: Richard Wilson and his wife, Loretta, and Chuck Wilson and his wife, Cheryl; his precious grandchildren: Stacy Brock and her husband, Jeff, of Arlington, Texas, Cindy Griffin of DeWitt, Arkansas, Kim Pottorff and her husband, Jacky, of DeWitt, Jason Wilson of Maumelle and Ashley Nichols and her husband, Adam, of Marion, Arkansas; nine great-grandchildren; his devoted caregiver: Maxine Duncan; and his lifelong friend who was very devoted to him, Larry Logan.

Funeral services were held on April 5, 2010, at Essex Funeral Home Chapel. He was laid to rest at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt, Arkansas.
