Steve was born Sept. 24, 1946 to the late Earl Pascal Cagle and Emma Mae Murph Cagle. He was a barber for 52 years before retiring, the owner of the Catfish Cove and a member of Caledonia Baptist Church. Steve was a great singer, loved playing his guitar, banjo and Dulcimer.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and one brother, David Cagle.
His survivors include his wife, Peggy Cagle; sons, Kirk Cagle (Susan) of Jackson, Mississippi, and Mark Cagle of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Autumn Cagle and Geoff Cagle of Jackson, Mississippi; and one great-grandson, Aiden Cagle.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Caledonia Baptist Church.
Funeral will also be held at the church at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, with Bro. Sam Whitlow officiating.
Interment will follow at Bethel Primitive Cemetery on O’Rear Road, El Dorado.
Pallbearers will be David Hunter, Benny Thomas, Willie McNabb, Bill Griffin, Keith Gunter, and Gary New. Honorary pallbearers are Hershal Alford and Geoffrey Cagle.
