West Point (Riverside) Cemetery
White County,
Arkansas

This cemetery is located on Highway 36 between Kensett and West Point, on the banks of the Little Red River. It is shown on a 1936 map as being the “Riverside Cemetery.” In the middle 1900s, this site was so overgrown in some areas that it was difficult to find the graves of those buried here.

White County Historical Society member Anna Beth Redmond said her mother Anna Feltrop, wife of Frank Feltrop, went through the cemetery in 1960 and wrote down names from tombstones. She then contacted relatives of those buried here and asked for donations to have the cemetery cleaned. Several years later, the maintenance of the cemetery was turned over to the town of West Point.
