When finch Steele was born on January 24, 1897, in Tennessee, his father, JAMES, was 35 and his mother, NANCY, was 34. He married Lillie Sue Cunningham on April 18, 1925, in Arkansas, Arkansas. They had three children during their marriage. He died on January 4, 1973, in De Witt, Arkansas, at the age of 75, and was buried there.
