When Willie O. Sandage was born on December 15, 1905, his father, John, was 35 and his mother, Clara, was 32. He married Nellie McSwain on October 15, 1927, in Arkansas, Arkansas. He died on July 21, 1993, in De Witt, Arkansas, at the age of 87, and was buried there.
