January 1, 1936 - January 26, 2012
James Earl Ragsdale, 76, of Carrolton, MS, formerly of Nowata, OK., died Jan. 26. He was the son of A.J. and Rachel Crowder Ragsdale and was born near DeWitt on Jan. 2, 1936. He was a member of the Church of Christ. His parents; a daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Ragsdale; a brother, Arthur Ragsdale Jr.; and four sisters, Irene Richardson of Osgood, IN, Callie Riley of St. Charles, Billie Jean Harrison and Emmalene Sloat of DeWitt proceeded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Madonna Fox of Missouri and Amanda McNatt of Canton, Ms; a sister, Leona Jieu of San Diego, CA; and two brothers, John Ragsdale of Malvern and Leon (Pete) Ragsdale of Carrolton, MS, formerly of DeWitt.
Graveside services were held Jan. 31, at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens in DeWitt.
