DeWITT — Opal Lucille Pottorff, age 78, of DeWitt died April 5, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 8th at Essex Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

When John Gordon Pottorff was born on February 20, 1919, his father, John, was 38 and his mother, Josie, was 36. He had one son with Opal Lucille Haliburton. He died on January 15, 1999, at the age of 79, and was buried in Arkansas.
