Weldon Harris Moore Sr. 78, of DeWitt died Feb. 6, 2013. He was born Nov. 16, 1934, in Poplar Grove to Charles Albert and Linus Lillian Moore. Mr. Moore was a cotton ginner and Baptist. His parents, a daughter, Janice Pickles, three brothers, A.B. Moore, Max Moore and Rufus Lee Moore and a grandson, Eugene Pickles, precede him in death. Survivor include his wife, Mary Evans Moore; children, Becky (Richard) Welch of Phenix City, Ala., Martha (Butch) Ferguson of DeWitt, Sharon (Ray) Williams of Helena- West Helena, Weldon (Raye Ann) Moore Jr. of DeWitt; brothers, R.D. Moore and Billy Moore; sisters, Marlee Helms, Arlene Mooney, Janie Ellenberg, Alice Short and Paulette Ravesies; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8at the funeral home. Services are 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9at Essex Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens.
