CORD - Nita Walden Huskey, 79, of Cord died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at Cord.
Born Nov. 28, 1924, at Cord, she was the daughter of Neil Oscar and Eva Stella Nuckolls Northcutt. She was a homemaker, worked for many years at Walden's Grocery at Cord, worked at Prince Cut Barber Shop in Batesville and was a member of Cord Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Prince of Cord; two sisters, Fayna Spragg of Cord and Pauline Glenn of Walnut Ridge; four grandchildren, Kristi Moody and T.J. Walden, both of Batesville, Chad Walden of Nashville, Tenn., and Robert Hunter of Tallahassee, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Lackey Gene Moody III and Kathryn Elizabeth Moody, both of Batesville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas J. Walden; a son, Terry Walden; a brother, Floyd Northcutt; an infant sister; and a granddaughter, Tarah Poole.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Cord Baptist Church in Cord with Gary Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery in Cord under the direction of Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were Glen Kennedy, Marvin Kennedy, Floyd Northcutt Jr., Raoul Spragg, Steve Craft, Nathan Craft and Ken Craft.
Honorary pallbearer was Dr. Lackey Moody.
