FARMINGTON — John Herman Van Horn, 84, of Farmington died April 3, 2000, at Medi-Homes Nursing Home in Prairie Grove.

He was born June 15, 1915, in Wheatland, Ind., to James Burris and Ora C. Herman Van Horn. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Prairie Grove.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Van Horn of the home; four sons and two daughters-in-law ,John Michael Van Horn and B.J. of San Rafael, Calif., Jim Van Horn and Shirley, and William Van Horn, all of Lincoln, and Thomas Van Horn of Prairie Grove; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a m. Friday at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Prairie Grave Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Van Horn, Tom Van Horn, William Van Horn, Mike Van Horn, Lee Van Horn and Marty Van Horn.

Rebecca Powell Van Horn, 100, a resident of Prairie Grove, died on Friday, September 22, 2017. She was born January 18, 1917 in Elwood, Indiana, to Shirl and Rebecca Dellinger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Herman Van Horn, in 2000.

Survivors include four sons, Michael Van Horn of San Rafael, California, James Van Horn of Sebring, Florida, Thomas Van Horn of Prairie Grove, and William Van Horn of Lincoln; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held.
