1923 - 2015
Lois Ellen Louise Patrick, 91, of Pottsville passed peacefully from her sleep at home to awaken into the loving arms of her Savior, Monday, February 9, 2015.
She was a member of Calvary Temple Church in Russellville. She was also a former member of the Rebekah Lodge of the Odd Fellows in Springdale, Arkansas. Mrs. Patrick proudly served several years as a senior volunteer to STAR Industries. She was retired from Morton’s. She was an avid quilter, loved to crochet and embroider, and was a beautiful seamstress for her children.
She was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on November 13, 1923 and was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence "Ott" and Martha Holley Hearing. She was the youngest and last survivor of her siblings, Grace Mathews, Cora, Mattie, Roy and Ray Hearing. She also was preceded in death by her former husbands, Alvin Metz and Poley Murphy, Sr.
She is survived by her devoted husband, John Patrick; and her children, Mary Knuckles (Leon) of Hot Springs, Charles Metz of Dover, Loretta Jean Baker of Fayetteville, Polly Frye (Dale) of St. John, Indiana, Brenda Linton (Jerry) of Russellville, Poley Murphy, Jr. of Pottsville, Donna Chisum (Harlan) of Witt Springs, and Carrie Huggins of Dover.
She is loved and remembered fondly by 19 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service and burial will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, February 13, at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Devoe Campbell officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
