June 9, 1943 - December 12, 1967
Magnolia, Ark. - A Southern State College student was killed Tuesday when a shotgun discharged as he was rummaging in the back seat of his car for his coat or a book authorities said. He was identified as Harvey E. Thomas, 24, of the Village community in Columbia County. The car was parked in front of the college field house. (Camden News - December 13, 1967)
