Thomas Wilson Penn, 87, of Naperville, Ill., passed away Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Monarch Landing in Naperville.
Born Nov. 29, 1928, in Lawrence County, he was a Professor Emeritus, College of Education at Southeast Missouri State University and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was beloved husband of Santa Marie Penn (De Castro); proud stepfather of Maria, Pamela and Marc; loving grandfather of seven step-grandchildren; caring brother to John E. Penn; and loving husband to Winona E. Penn (nee Coleman), who passed away in 2005. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 1:30 p.m. at Monarch Landing in Naperville.
Interment was private. Friedrich-Jones & Overman-Jones Funeral Homes and Cremation Services had charge of arrangements.

Thomas Wilson Penn, age 87, a resident of Naperville, IL, passed on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Monarch Landing in Naperville, IL. He was born November 29th, 1928 in Lawrence County, Arkansas.
Thomas was a Professor Emeritus, College of Education at Southeast Missouri State University and a proud Veteran of the U.S Army. He was beloved Husband of Santa Marie Penn (De Castro), Proud Step Father of Maria, Pamela and Marc, loving Grandfather of seven Step Grandchildren, caring Brother to John E. Penn, loving Husband to Winona E. Penn( nee Coleman) who passed away in 2005 and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services: Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Monarch Landing in Naperville, IL.
Iterment is Private.

ST. LOUIS - Winona Elizabeth "Winnie" Coleman Penn, 75, of St. Louis died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Wilson Penn; a brother, E.R. Coleman; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents E.W. and Hazel Coleman and an infant daughter W.W. Penn.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood, Mo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hopewell Cemetery in Cord with the Rev. John E. Penn officiating.
