When Louise Elizabeth Rownd was born in 1921 in De Witt, Arkansas, her father, Wilbert, was 29, and her mother, Carrie, was 24. She married Burwell Ray Hambrick on July 10, 1948, in Coryell, Texas. They had three children during their marriage. She died in 1975 in DeWitt, Arkansas, at the age of 54, and was buried in her hometown.
