November 4, 1957 - October 6, 1964

Jay dee Jameson, 7 year-old son of Rev. and Mrs. Doyle Jameson, Lawson, died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at a local hospital of internal injuries suffered when struck by a car near his home earlier in the afternoon. The boy was reorted to have pulled from a driveway about 4:30 p.m. on a bicycle in front of a southbound vehicle driven by Mary Alice Kendrix, of Rt. 5. The Kendrix woman told investigating officers that she was meeting another car and was unable to stop and hit the youth, dragging him several feet beneath the automobile. Deputy H. G. He was born in Arkadelphia Nov. 4, 1957. He had lived at Lawson for the past three years, where his father was a pastor of the Lawson Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents; one brother, Robert Doyle Jameson of Lawson; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Jameson of El Dorado; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Laura Higgins, Ruston, La., and one uncle, W. V. Jameson of El Dorado. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lawson Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Bray, the Rev. Don Laing and the Rev. Don Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The family requests no flowers. The body will be taken to the church two hours before the funeral.
