Carroll Lynn Nelson 70 of Bentonville passed away July 13, 2018 in Rogers. She was born June 25, 1948 in Orlando, Florida the daughter of William and Mary Alice (White) Hawthorne. Carroll worked for Lookheed Martin and a Data Entry Clerk. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry Nelson; her parents; brother Rickey Hawthorne; niece Denise Peazant; grandfather Rufus White.
She is survived by her daughter Veliscia Hornsby and son in law Laymon Hornsby of Bentonville; her siblings Ann (Cleo) Peazant of Navarre, Florida; William Hawthorne, Jr. of Mary Esther, Florida and Vernon (Belinda) Hawthorne of Jacksonville, Florida; three grandchildren Gabrielle Hornsby, Ariel Hornsby, and Gabriel Hornsby and one great grandchild Josiah Hornsby; and a host of other relatives.
Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Monday; July 23, 2018 and funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. Interment will follow in the Bentonville Cemetery.
