Annie Kim, 21, of Texarkana, Texas, died February 9, 2008. Miss Kim was born January 3, 1987, in Seoul, Korea.
She was a member of the Korean Baptist Church, a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and a student at Henderson State University.
During high school, Annie was a varsity cheerleader. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and recognized as Who's Who Among American High School Students.
She also received a full academic scholarship to Texarkana College. Annie won several beauty pageants including: America's Cover Miss 2006, Miss Cass County and Miss Marshall Texas America's Cover Miss.
She had recently transferred to Henderson State University where she was majoring in Fashion Merchandising.
The Kim family commemorates their daughter by establishing the Annie Kim Scholarship at Texarkana College. They hope to continue helping their community in memory of Annie Kim.
