Ortha (Teeter) Kendrick, 94, of Russellville, received her ultimate promotion, Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at St Anthony's Hospital in Morrilton. The daughter of James and Ada Judkins Teeter, she was born January 30, 1912 on Crow Mountain. She was a homemaker and later employed by the Atkins Pickle Plant and Van Atkins Department Store, where she was in charge of alterations. She was a charter member of Welcome Hill Assembly of God Church on Crow Mountain. She was also a member of the Russellville First Assembly of God Church and an active member of the Women's Ministries where she enjoyed quilting with the ladies of the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Kendrick and also by her parents; brothers, Burl Teeter, Earl Teeter, Carl Teeter and Archie Teeter; sisters, Ava Rogerson Roberts and Iva Bowden Bowen. Survivors include daughter & son-in-law, Lila Kay Jones & husband Carroll of Russellville; grandsons, Keith Jones & wife Eva of Russellville, Dustin Jones of Arlington, Virginia; great grandchildren, Alex Kendrick Jones and Kaley Nicole Jones both of Russellville; brothers, T N Teeter and Ben Teeter both of Russellville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
