Edna Earl Hale, 86, a resident of Pottsville, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Russellville. She was born February 17, 1925, at Atkins to William Tillmon and Amanda Leola Spence Duvall. She worked several years for Arkansas Valley Industries and was a member of the Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Her life revolved around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she loved spending time with them and taking them fishing and she also enjoyed working in her vegetable garden. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edgar Jackson "Jack" Hale; an infant daughter, Jackie Earlene Hale; brothers, Early, Bill and Bobby Duvall; and sisters, Mary Hodge DeHart, Bermell Nichols and Jo Dean Van Dolah.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Becky Hale of Pottsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Jannie and E Ray Morris and Sue and Wayne Myers, all of Russellville; sister-in-law, Wanda Duvall of Russellville; grandchildren, David Myers and wife, Marlena, Robert Myers and wife, Jennifer, Laura Walker and husband, John, Jake Hale and Tracy Brown and husband, Billy; great-grandchildren, Justin, Shaelyn, Kristen and Madilyn Myers, Ethan and Emily Hale, Kaitlyn, Jayden and Lakyn Brown; a host of nephews and nieces; and other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers were John Walker, Robert and David Myers, Billy Brown, Jake Hale and David Boatwright. Honorary pallbearers were Dustin Collins, Charlie Thomason, Lee Bratton, Randy Mathis, Jason Burris and Wayne Hill.
Memorials may be made to First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1200 North Arkansas Avenue, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
