Mrs. Dixie Pauline (Tackett) Sales, age 76, of Bauxite, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born August 11, 1929, in Higden, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Killis and Zora (Chalk) Tackett.
She was a graduate of the high school at Higden, and on June 1, 1950, she was married to Alvin Cled Sales. Mrs. Sales was a homemaker and mother, and she was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, Alvin Cled Sales of Bauxite; three sons, Gary Lee Sales, Larry Don Sales, and David Wayne Sales, all of Bauxite; one daughter, Brenda Gail Darter of Mt. George; two brothers, William Tackett of Mississippi, and James Tackett of Higden; three sisters, Marie Davidson and Lavada Foster, both of Batesville, and Maxine Meeks of Concord; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sales is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Cled was the son of Alviious Claude Sales and Daisy Jewel Smith Sales. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Pauline "Polly" Tackett Sales(married June 2,1950) and son, Gary Lee Sales. He is survived by two sons,Larry and David Sales,both of Bauxite and one daughter,Brenda Darter of Centerville. A member of the church of Christ.
Cled enjoyed camping with his family and was a faithful member of the church.
