Gary Lee Sales, age 59, of Bauxite, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on April 16, 1951, he was the son of Alvin C. Sales and the late Pauline (Tackett) Sales.
Gary was employed by Union Pacific Railroad as a machinist, and he was a veteran of the United States Marines.
He is survived by one son, Philip Wayne Carter of Dardenelle; one daughter, Kortney Danielle Smith of Plainview; his father, Alvin C. Sales of Bauxite; two brothers, Larry Sales and David Sales, both of Bauxite; one sister, Brenda Darter of Centerville; and six grandchildren, Allie Sales, Kaleigh Carter, Lucas Carter, Autumn Smith, Summer Carter, and Aiden Smith. Gary is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
