Charles Edwin Larkins, 89 of Conway passed away Monday, October 24, 2011. Born in Kansas City, MO, on June 28, 1922, he was a son to the late William H. and Mabel Heltzel Larkins. Charles was a WWII Veteran having served with the Army Air Corp. as a Tail Gunner Instructor. He received his Bachelors Degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri and became Promotional Manager for the Griffin Broadcasting Group, which had television and radio stations in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Missouri. He was a member of the Tulsa Press Club, Sigma Delta Chi and Second Baptist Church in Conway, AR.

He was preceded in death by his previously mentioned parents and his wife of 47 years, Mary Esther
( Grimm) Larkins.

Survivors include his daughter Marietta Kehler and husband Phil of Roland, AR; grandchildren: Robert Kehler of Conway and Laura Shue and husband Jay of Little Rock; great grandchildren: Kelsie and Chase Kehler and Will and Jack Shue; special neighbors Juanita and Wayne and a host of friends and neighbors.

The family sends special thanks to Conway Regional Medical Center, Heritage Living Center, Conway Regional Rehabilitation Hospital and the Faulkner County Senior Citizens Program.

Graveside services under the direction of Roller McNutt Funeral Home, in Conway, will be held at 10:00 am. on Friday, October 28, 2011, at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
