Mary Rachel Stuart, 91, of Conway, went to be with the Lord, Friday, September 28, 2018. She was born August 15, 1927 in Randolph, Mississippi to the late Walter Lee and Myra E. Tutor. Rachel married Carl Stuart in Pontotoc, Mississippi April 12, 1945. She was a member of Conway’s First Baptist Church. Rachel’s Savior and family were her love and joy, but she also enjoyed sewing, reading, baking, and playing Bridge. One could often find her in the kitchen, humming hymns, and whipping up her famous carrot cake. She was a generous woman, loving on others in whatever ways God laid on her heart. Rachel was a true friend to everyone she encountered. We will miss her fun and feisty spirit as well as her gracious countenance.
Rachel is survived by her son, Jeff Stuart of San Diego, CA, daughter-in-law, Barbara Stuart of Conway, AR, four grandchildren, Eric (Becke) of Conway, AR, Lee (Kelli) of Tampa, FL, Zach (Sarah) of Bryant, AR, Matt (Jessica) of San Diego, CA, nine great grandchildren, Cade, Eli, Sam, Asher, Sloan, Tia, Landon, Annika and William, and many more nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 48 years, Carl Stuart, son, Herb, sister-in-law, Brenda and six brothers and four sisters.
Memorials can be made in Rachel’s name to Conway’s First Baptist Church at 1719 Robinson St. Conway, AR 72034.
Funeral Service will be Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:00AM at Conway’s First Baptist Church. Visitation will begin one hour prior at 9:00AM at the Church. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
