Frances Lorene Carey, 80, of Oak Park, Michigan, formerly of Ferndale, Michigan, passed away Monday, January 12, 2009.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she was an accomplished seamstress, who enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, and baking. She was a former volunteer for the Michigan Cancer Foundation and the Huntington Woods Library.
Beloved wife of Charles J. Carey for 46 years; dear mother of Douglas C. Carey and wife Cheryl Lynn and Carolyn C. Taylor and husband Mike; grandmother of Ashley, Brandon, and Chance; sister of Modell Camp, Murlene Frizzell, and Bobbie Tipton and husband Waldon.
Graveside services will be Monday, January 19, at 10:30 a.m. at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial tributes to the National Kidney Foundation, 1169 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI, 48108 of the American Diabetes Association, 30200 Telegraph Road, Ste. 105, Bingham Farms, MI, 48025.
Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
