Brucine Morton Brown, loving wife and mother, was met by her waiting Lord on Friday, June 1, 2007. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her family and those at Baptist Hospital Little Rock who were dedicated caregivers and had become honored friends. Brucine dedicated her life to caring for others and sharing her faith through words and actions. She was a strong Christian and always an active member of a local church, most recently at Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Conway.
She was born in Indianola, MS, September 16, 1939. After living in Helena, AR, Akron, OH, and Roanoke, VA, she lived most recently in Conway, AR. Brucine was preceded in death by her parents, William Eli Morton and Cleo McDonald Morton. She is survived by her committed and loving husband, Thomas J. Brown, a son, Thomas Jerome Brown and his wife, Kathryn Marie Brown, a daughter, Alisa Brown Chamblee and her husband, Charles Richard Chamblee, Jr., and a brother, William McDonald Morton. Additionally, she is survived by four grandchildren, Justine Brown Homer, Claire Eileen Brown, William Charles Chamblee, and Jonathan Thomas Chamblee. Her memory will be cherished by numerous family and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Dr. Charles Chamblee and Rev. David Hatfield officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Woodland Heights Baptist Church, Saddle Creek Church in Little Rock, or the American Cancer Society.
