DeWITT -- Jessie Coody, 80, DeWitt, died February 18, 1998, DeWitt City Hospital.
Born Dec. 5, 1917, at Brookhaven, Mississippi, she was a daughter of William and Sebbie Pennington.
She was a homemaker and Methodist.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie Coody; two daughters, Ann Noble of DeWitt and Jean Jernigan of Pine Bluff; a brother, W.C. Pennington of Monroe; two sisters, Louise Green and Katherine Collier, both of Epps, Louisiana; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchiId.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at St. Charles Baptist Church at St. Charles near DeWitt. Burial will be in Cedarcrest Memorial Garden at DeWitt by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt.
