Leonard Wayne Cash, age 65, of Stuttgart died Wednesday, July 14, 1999 at U.A.M.S. He was born in Van, Arkansas and was a former Mayor of Stuttgart. He was former co-owner of Acme Service in Stuttgart and owner of Central Heating and Air in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was a charter member and held all local and State Offices of Civitan International. He was a member of Kiwanis Club, Salvation Army Board member and trustee of Mid-South Christian College in Memphis. He was an elder and Sunday School teacher for years and served on the Electrical Board of the Pines Vo-Tech in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was a charter member of the Central Christian Church in Stuttgart.
His survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Nutter Cash; one son, John Leonard Cash of Hickory, MS; one daughter, Cathie Cas Buck of Rockwood, Tn; one brother, Richard Howard Cash of Little Rock; one sister, Luciel McGhie of DeWitt, four grandchildren, Spencer Leonard Cash, Seth Madison Cash, Sarah Catherine Buck and Elizabeth Leigh Buck.
Funeral services were Saturday, July 17, at the Central Christian Church in Stuttgart with Rev. Ron Buck and Rev. David Inde officiating. Burial took place in Cedarcrest Cemetery.
The family suggested memorials be made to the Arkansas Cancer Research Center Slot #623, 4301 Markham Little Rock, AR 72205.
Turpin Funeral Home, Stuttgart, was in charge.
