Eileen Elizabeth "Tootsie" Carlin, 99, of DeWitt passed from this life on Sunday, March 18, 2018. She was born on January 28, 1919 to John H. and Mary Ness Ragan. She was a member of Big LaGrue Missionary Baptist Church.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, D.L."Mut" Carlin, her parents, sisters, Annie Snell and Marie Gardner and brothers Johnny Ragan and Pettis Ragan. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Grantham of Spruce Pine, NC, Betty DeBerry (Bob) of Crocketts Bluff, and Phyllis Dupslaff (Elvin) of DeWitt, one granddaughter, Angela White, two grandsons Lee and Gerrad DeBerry, four great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 21 at Essex Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens.
