Mount Holly Cemetery is a park owned by the City of Little Rock. It is a 4 square block area and was donated to the city to be used as a cemetery in 1843, by Roswell Beebe and Senator Chester Ashley. Interred here are 11 State Governors, 14 State Supreme Court Justices, 5 Confederate Generals, 22 Little Rock Mayors, and some newspaper editors, military heroes, physicians and attorneys. The earliest birth recorded on stones in this cemetery is Peter LeFevre, born in Canada in 1750. The first interment was William Cummins in April 1843.
MOUNT HOLLY is on the National Register of Historic Places.
