Roger E. Bell, age 91, of Joplin, Mo. passed away at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2007 at his home in Joplin following a brief illness. Roger was born August 3, 1916 in Stuttgart, Arkansas and lived in DeWitt, Arkansas most of his life where he was involved in rice farming. Following his retirement in 1976 they moved to Hot Springs where he was a member of the First Christian Church. In 1977 he moved to Perkins, Okla. to be close to their younger daughter. Roger & Kathryn moved to Joplin, Mo. in 2005 to be near their older daughter because of declining health.

Roger married Kathryn Shireman March 17, 1938 in DeWitt, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on September 19, 2005. He was also preceded in death by a grand-daughter, Melanie Brown, and two brothers, Harold & Ephffous. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Goins and husband Max, Carthage, Mo. and Teresa Brown and husband Robert Perkins, Oklahoma, three sons, Bud Bell and wife Jackie, DeWitt, Arkansas, Jim Bell and wife Brenda, Madison, Wisconsin, and Charles Bell and wife Karen, Hot Springs, Arkansas, two brothers, Claude Bell, Gillett, Arkansas, and Clyde Bell, DeWitt, Arkansas, 15 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.
