When Wilmouth Josephine Gidden was born on January 8, 1838, in Monroe, Mississippi, her father, James, was 37, and her mother, Mary, was 34. She married Charles H ASHING on June 12, 1856, in Phillips, Arkansas. They had four children during their marriage. She died in February 1900 in Lee, Arkansas, at the age of 62.
