Lillie Johnson, 98, of Russellville, Arkansas, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at St Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Betty (Bernie) Huett, Russellville, Charlene (Don) Hutson, Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Sandy (Kenny) Greene, Steve (Cathy) Huett, Susan (Buzz) Kitchens, Greg (Jamie) Huett, all of Russellville, Karen (Alan) Woodward, Donna (Tim) Weber, both of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Paul (Mary) Creek, Carlsbad, New Mexico, Leroy (Weesie) Creek, Ignacio, Colorado; 20 great grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was born on March 18, 1914, in Clovis, New Mexico, the oldest of five children to Lewis Deathrage and Martha "Mattie" Deathrage Kinney.She and Charlie Johnson began their marriage on April 30, 1932, in Witt Springs, Arkansas, and were married for 58 years. The family moved to Crow Mountain in 1946.She was charter member of the Crow Mountain Extension Homemaker's Club. She knitted over 500 children's caps for the Arkansas Children's Hospital. She was a faithful member of the Mars Hills Cumberland Presbyterian for 65 years where she taught Sunday School and worked with the youth group and was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Women. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Johnson; her parents; two sisters, Juanita Chumbley and Winnie Luttrell.
Pallbearers were her four granddaughters and two grandsons.
