Joe Ann Vann, 72 passed away at her home in Greenbrier on Friday, July 6, 2007. Born in Conway on March 3, 1935, she was a daughter to Louie A. & Ruth Browning Smith. Joe Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was retired from Central Arkansas Area Agency on Aging, as a nurse and social worker and is remembered as being a caring person. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier and an honorary member of Preceptor Alpha Omega.

Her husband of 38 years, Ben, her parents, one daughter Sarah Cherry and a son-in-law Claude Cherry preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Delores “Sissy” Moore (J.D.) and Debbie Davis (Jon), both of Greenbrier; two sons Ben “Buddy” Vann (Charlotte) of Conway and Mark Vann of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; grandchildren Carey and Brent Cherry, Misty Burgess (B.J.), Kyle, Clay and Cole Vann and Alex and Daniel McMullin. Other survivors are a brother Sonny Smith (Sharon) and a sister Pam Holloway (Bill).

Bro. Gaylon King will officiate at services being held at Roller McNutt Funeral Home, in Conway, at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 8. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wooster. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday, July 7, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Faulkner County Library.
