Helen Louise (Stanley) Siler, 89, of Velvet Ridge, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at the White County Medical Center in Searcy. She was born February 8, 1925 in the Honey Holler community the daughter of the late Elzie and Bertie (Pennington) Stanley. Helen was a faithful member of the Velvet Ridge Church of Christ until her health failed. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and working in her yard as well as camping trips with the family. Helen was also a talented quilter and loved teaching others the craft. She spent many hours of pleasure feeding and watching the birds in her yard. She is survived by her son, Jimmy L. Siler (Debbie) and a daughter, Shelia Martin (Marty) all of Velvet Ridge; grandchildren, Chad Siler (Peggy), Scott Siler (Mary), Kelly King (Justin), Brent Siler (Becca), Megan Glaze (Kris) and Matthew Martin; great-grandchildren, Haley Siler, David Lassiter, Maddie Siler, Nicholas Siler, Landen Siler, Kailin Siler, Haydon Siler, Ian King, Miles King, Weston King, Jameson Glaze and Jemma Glaze; aunt, Opal Rains of Rogers; special friend, Julie Mason. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Siler; grandson, Kevin Siler and his wife, Michelle and their daughter, Krystal. PLEASE NOTICE: FUNERAL SERVICES ARE RESCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY AT 2:00 PM DUE TO WEATHER. VISITATION WILL BE HELD PRIOR TO THE FUNERAL, BEGINNING AT 1:00.
