Raymond "Ray" Chenowith, 72, of Russellville, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012. He was born May 31, 1940, in Russellville to Velma Rhea Taylor Chenowith and Harve Chenowith. Ray was a member of Restoration Church and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Chenowith; and a brother, Charles Chenowith. Ray is survived by his children, Penny and Phil Harris, Robby Chenowith and Misti Chenowith; a daughter-in-law, Laura Chenowith-Mills; siblings, Alfred, Glen, Billy, and Norman Chenowith, Judy Davis, Gladys Jones, and Rita Halsted; grandchildren, Jill Anderson, Lindsey Ellis, Miranda, Katie, Kyle and Gracie Chenowith; great-grandchildren Ethan, Addisyn, and Will Anderson and Myla Chenowith; and mother-in-law Nova Lee Morphis. Active pallbearers were Kyle, Brent, Miranda, and Katie Chenowith, Doug Davis, Randy Finley, and Shawn Mooney. Memorials may be made to Restoration Church, 2349 South Elmira, Russellville, Arkansas 72802.
Linda Chenowith, 62, of Russellville, died Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock . She was a daughter of James H and Nova Lee Morgan Morphis of Russellville, and was born October 12, 1943 in Russellville. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Russellville, and attended the Restoration Church in Russellville. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ray Chenowith; children: Penny and Phil Harris, Robby and Laura Chenowith and Misti Chenowith, all of Russellville; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Jimmy and Linda Morphis of Bryant; Johnny and Cheryl Morphis of Rogers; and Donny and Donna Morphis of North Carolina; grand children: Jill Anderson and her husband, Brian, of Dover; Lindsey Harris of Fayetteville; and Miranda, Katie, Kyle and Gracie Chenowith, all of Russellville; and a great-grandson, Ethan Anderson of Dover.
Active pallbearers were Chuck Hughes, Brian Anderson, Randy Findley, Randy Campbell, John Karnes and Richie Shilling. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr Kevin Beavers and Dr James Smith.
